Inventory Down in 2019

For the month of January, inventory of improved property is down 11% compared to last year throughout Blaine County. But what does this mean?

With less inventory, buyers have fewer options and therefore prices could be increasing. If you are thinking of selling, it might not be worth waiting until a busier spring when there is more competition. As inventory increases, buyers will have more negotiating power leading to even more of a buyer’s market.

We are seeing the largest decrease in inventory north of town as single family residences located North of Ketchum are down 55% compared to last year.

If you are a buyer, the Sun Valley condo market continues to offer great opportunity as inventory is up 22% compared to January 2018. With more options available and an amazing proximity to the resort, there are some fantastic listings for investors and primary residents alike.
